“The meaning of life is to stop.” – (1883-1924 Franz Kafka) A good friend of mine graduated from the School of Law, Boston University. In the beginning, David E. Kelly gave the keynote address. As some of you know, Mr. Kelly is the author of many popular television programs like The Practice, Ally McBeal, Chicago Hope and many others. A related site: santie botha mentions similar findings. It is also an alumni of the UB School of Law.
I was very intrigued by what Mr. Kelly chose to tell this kind of new lawyers. a l chose to speak with them about options. a l told them that although it may appear that are falling on a predictable, unchanging way law firms and associations, which need not be so. He reminded them that life was about following your dreams and passions.
In a brief 20-minute speech inspired us all to find out what I wanted from this life and not be afraid to break the mold in order to achieve this. Sometimes it is difficult to see that we have options. Sometimes we feel trapped by circumstances or by choice we have done earlier that led us to where we are now. I’m here to tell you are never caught. To quote an old saying “where there is will, there’s a way.” You may have to think very creatively. You may have to resort to external resources. You may even have to make some difficult decisions and compromises. Ultimately, however, you have the power to choose how to spend your time, money and energy. By taking some time to be clear about your priorities, you will be rewarded. You’ll learn what can be innovative when it comes to finding ways to achieve them. Do not get caught in “impossible” or “no way” thinking. “There is a way. It’s possible. The answer may be very different from what could have imagined, but it can work. Think outside the box! After all, this is the only life you have. Is there any area of your life where you feel stuck or trapped? What do you really need to be freed up situation? Challenge yourself (and ask your friends for help) to think about all the off-the-Wall, completely out of the box approaches that can be. It is likely that you will create a crack of possibility in the sense … is stuck, at least some action to try. Do not waste one more minute of your most valuable and limited resource: its life.Move now on – do not get stuck, start brainstorming!
